Very Nice Winchester Model 61 Rifle Made in 1959

Serial #316939, .22 S-L-LR, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore.  This is a grooved receiver rifle, made in 1959, and retains 95-97% of the original blue finish, with only some traces of mild freckling along the top of the barrel, silvering on the high edges and projections, as well as gray fading along the magazine tube.  The walnut forend and buttstock are in fine-near excellent shape with some minor handling marks and blemishes marring the original varnish, most noticeably along the right side of the pistol-grip.  The checkered hard rubber buttplate exhibits little wear, but does have some white discoloration at the heel and midsection.  This is a great example of a desirable slide-action .22 Winchester, in fine-near excellent condition, and would make a great addition to a collection.  FFL or C&R
