High Condition Pre-64 Winchester Model 63 Semi-Auto 22 LR Mfg 1956

Serial #147438A, .22 LR, 23 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Model 63 semi-automatic rifle manufactured by Winchester in 1956 marked on the barrel as “.22L.Rifle - Super Speed & Super X” differentiating it from the early model 1903 in .22 Win Auto.  In excellent condition the metal surfaces retain about 94-96% of the original blue finish with some freckling on the barrel and frame with some rough spots of finish loss on the forend cap.  The walnut stock and forearm are solid retaining most of the original varnish with some scattered mild contusions and areas of finish loss in the lower pistol grip area.  It has the original adjustable sporting rear and bead front sights.  A high condition example of the Model 63.  FFL or C&R
