Winchester Special Order Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine 32 Special SRC
Serial #932686, .32 Win. Spl., 20" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has mild freckling within the grooves. This is a 1921-made carbine that features a special order short magazine, and retains about 20-30% of the original blue finish, mostly on the tube, and a fairly bright pewter gray patina on the balance of the metal. Patches of plum-brown freckling are present on the barrel, and there are further areas of plum-brown on the sides of the receiver. The saddle ring is still present, however, the front and rear barrel sights are later replacements (a series of tool marks are present on the top of the barrel aft of the rear sight as well). Additionally, a Marble's folding tang sight is also installed. The walnut forend and buttstock are in about good condition with scattered minor handling marks and blemishes throughout, as well as a large crack at the tip of the forend, and a series of with-the-grain cracks running backwards from the lower tang. A series of 22 notches has been carved into the wood along the belly of the buttstock. The original steel buttplate is still fitted, and has some dark brown mottling along the curve. This is a very nice Winchester SRC, and is in about very good condition overall. FFL or C&R
