1st Year Colt Police Positive Target Model Revolver 22 WRF Built 1910
Serial #2729, .22 WRF, 6 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is a Colt Police Positive Target Model First Issue built in 1910, the first year of production. In excellent condition the barrel, frame and cylinder retain about 90-95% of the original blue showing some silvering at the muzzle and high edges, thinning on the grip straps and along the barrel with some light handling marks. The trigger and hammer show much of the original fire blue. The checkered Colt factory hard rubber grips feature a stylized “C” around the escutcheons and are numbered to the gun rating about very fine with a repaired chip on the right panel butt and a slight crack on the left. This gun has the early style non-adjustable blade front sight held by a fire blue screw, the rear sight is also fire blue with windage adjustments. The markings remain crisp with a nice intertwined “C” around the Rampant Colt logo on the frame. The action functions properly with tight lock up. A lightly used and well cared for Target Model. FFL or C&R
