Alfonso’s Holster & Gunshop Double Buscadero Rig

This is a tanned smooth leather belt with double border stitching measures 51”x3” overall with Ranger style buckle and matching straight drop steel lined holsters likely for a Ruger New Vaquero single action revolver with barrel up to 5 1/2” in length. The belt is marked 1198, 48C, 357. The edges have been darkened adding a nice contrast to the tan color and white stitching seen throughout. There are 25-loops sized for 38 / 357 cartridges and each holster has a simple hammer thong and belt leg straps with silver plated hardware. A fantastic, excellent condition, quick draw rig that appears to have seen little if any use and is maker marked on each holster and belt with logo, "Alfonzo's Holster & Gunshop", Alfonso Pineda started in Arvo Ojala’s shop working under foreman Andy Anderson who eventually opened his own shop up directly across the street from Ojala. These three men were the godfathers of leather goods during the hay-days of Hollywood westerns and now operating as Alfonso’s of Hollywood and run by Pineda’s son Omar, they are still making the classic western holster along with many other fine leather goods.
