Antique M1860 Type Sword Theater Made Bowie Knife with Sheath Civil War

This is a M1860 Type Sword that was repurposed into a 9 1/2" Bowie. This knife is a very old conversion with basic workmanship, sharp blade and false edge. The D-guard has been removed and reworked into a nicely scalloped bolster.  This knife show many years of field use and age patina. The leather fringed sheath is in very good condition with a torn belt loop.  The fringes are starting to dry and some have broken off.  A very cool knife that is absolutely “real” and most likely from the Civil War.
