Antique Colt Open Top Pocket Model 22RF Revolver Built 1875

Serial #84486, .22 RF (black powder), 2 3/8 inch barrel with a fine dark bore with moderate roughness and about good rifling.  This is the Colt Open Top Pocket Model Revolver manufactured in 1875.  In excellent condition the metal surfaces retain about 93-95% of the original bright nickel finish with flaking at the muzzle and breech with scattered tiny spots on the frame and cylinder also showing some contusions use marks.  The original walnut grips rate about excellent with some wear on the high edges and scattered varnish level marks.  It functions well mechanically with proper indexing and cylinder advancement on most pulls of the hammer with occasional times when it does not.   An excellent looking example of a later production Open Top Pocket.  Antique
