Antique Colt Model 1878 Frontier Six-Shooter DA Revolver

Serial #23207, .44 WCF (.44-40), 4 3/4" barrel with a good bore that has mild freckling and pitting along its length.  This is an 1889-made revolver that has traces of the original blue remaining on a few protected areas, with the balance having turned to a mixed pewter gray and plum-brown patina having thin freckling and areas of pinprick pitting scattered throughout.  The checkered hard rubber grips are in good shape, intact but with smoothing and flattening throughout on both sides.  The lock-up is still tight, and the action is fully functional in both single and double-action.  This is a very good ‘78 Frontier Six-Shooter.  Antique
