Nord Deutscher Lloyd Fork

This silver fork is maker marked "Wilkens Bremen" on back with seal of Nord Deutcher Lloyd Bremen on face. The North German Shipping Co has a long history starting in 1858 with the ship "Bremen" and is still in business today as Hapag-Lloyd Ag. The first Bremen served from 1858-1874, Bremen II from 1897 to 1919, Bremen IV from 1929 to 1941 and Bremen V from 1959 to 1972 . Spoon remains in very good condition with light tarnish.
