Rare 1880's UMC 45 Gov't Ammo U.S. Springfield Carbine 1874 Call Out

This is a full box, 20 rounds, of .45 Government (.45-70) manufactured by the Union Metallic Cartridge Company with a specific primary label identifying them for “U.S. Springfield Carbine / Model 1874”. The square corner, two piece box has a blue primary label and U.M.C. Guarantee and reloading labels on the side. The box is now solid showing internal professional repairs with age soiling and edge wear along with some flaking on the labels. The cartridges are in excellent condition with some showing slight age darkening. We are not sure if the cartridges are native to the box or not. A rare early box dating to the 1880's that would display well with your Trapdoor Carbine.
