Scarce Early Green Label 50-110 Express WCF Black Powder Ammo Model 1886

This is a full box, 20 original rounds, of .50-110 EX WCF ammunition manufactured by Winchester with 300 Grain express bullets introduced in the late-1880's.  This is the less often encountered first type, square corner, Green label black powder box and ranks among the most collectible of all the Winchester boxes.  In excellent condition the box is solid and free of the usual bottom end separations which plagues these large caliber taped-construction boxes having only slight seam separation visible under close examination on the top side corners.  The label has excellent color and detail with very slight rub wear and spots of flaking.  The box shows some very slight isolated age soiling spots and scrapes.  The cartridges are in excellent condition all with matching head stamps and the proper express raised “x” marked copper tube in the nose of the bullets.  This will make a fantastic addition any Winchester Ammo collection or to pair with your Model 1886.
