Colt Detective Special 2nd Issue Revolver with Factory Hammer Shroud

Serial #837494, .38 Special, 2" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a couple of specks of freckling within the grooves at the muzzle. This is a 1963-made revolver that has retained 70-75% of the original blue finish, with the balance faded to gray along the projections and bearing surfaces. Some specks of mild freckling are also present at the muzzle and on the front of the cylinder, with a light turn-ring on the rear of the cylinder. A Colt-marked hammer shroud is installed on the rear of the frame. The checkered walnut Colt medallion grips are in fine shape with only light wear and flattening of the points, mainly at the butt on either panel. The lock-up is still tight, and the action functions smoothly in both single and double-action. This is a very nice 2nd Issue Detective Special with a desirable factory add-on, and is in very good plus condition overall. FFL or C&R
