Colt New Service Revolver in .38 WCF
Serial #21591, .38 WCF (.38-40), 7 1/2" barrel with a very good bore that has some light freckling and pitting within the grooves. This is a 1909-made revolver that has retained 60-70% of the original blue finish, with the balance faded to mottled gray and scattered spots of plum-brown freckling, most noticeably along the barrel. Traces of original fire blue remain on the hammer and trigger, and there are some small peen marks on the sideplate on the left side. The checkered hard rubber "COLT" grips are in very good-fine shape, with very little wear or flattening to the points, and few visible handling marks. The lock-up and timing are perfect and the action functions well in both single and double-action. This is a very good New Service overall, and is in a desirable chambering. FFL or C&R
