Colt New Service Revolver in .44 Special 1913
Serial #59609, .44 Special, 7 1/2" barrel with a very good, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This is a 1913-made, lanyard swivel-equipped revolver that has retained 75-80% of the original bright blue finish with silvering at the muzzle and along the high and exposed edges, a strong turn-ring on the cylinder, as well as thin surface freckling scattered throughout. Traces of the original fire blue can still be seen along the back of the hammer and on the protected areas of the trigger. The smooth walnut service style grips are in very good condition with small handling marks scattered about, most noticeably at the butt on both panels. The lock-up is good and the action is fully functional. This is a very good-near fine example of a fairly early Positive Lock New Service, in a very desirable chambering. FFL or C&R
