Colt Police Positive 1st Issue Revolver 1917 w/ Wood Grips

Serial #93222, .38 New Police (.38 S&W), 4" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a small amount of light freckling within the grooves towards the breech.  This is a 1917-made revolver that has retained 85-90% of the original blue finish with gray fading at the muzzle, along the high and projecting edges, as well as a moderate turn-ring on the cylinder.  Some spots of plum-brown freckling are present on the sides of the hammer and trigger.  The checkered walnut, Colt medallion grips are in very good shape with some minor flattening of the points, as well as a few minor peen marks on the butt.  The grips are numbered to a different gun on the interior.  The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly.  This is a very nice DA Colt, and is in very good-near fine condition overall.  FFL or C&R
