Colt Police Positive Special 1st Issue .38 Revolver

Serial #151718, .38 Special, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore.  This is a 1918-made revolver that retains 85-90% of the original blue finish, with silvering at the muzzle and on the high edges.  There are also areas of mild plum-brown freckling present on the frame, as well as plum-brown fading along the gripstraps.  Additionally, there is a small impact mark on the edge of the trigger guard bow on the left side.  The checkered hard rubber "COLT" grips are numbered to the gun on the interior, and are in fine shape, with minor handling marks around the butt and mild flattening of the checkering points.  The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly in both single and double-action.  This is a very nice Police Positive Special, and is in fine-near excellent condition.  FFL or C&R
