Colt 1st Generation Single Action Army Revolver in .38 WCF
Serial #268066, .38 WCF (.38-40), 4 3/4" barrel with a good bore that has some dark freckling within the grooves. This is a 1905-made, early smokeless powder frame revolver that has traces of original blue remaining on protected areas and a mild plum-brown patina on the balance. The frame has muted original color case-hardening visible, with the balance turned to a mottled gray-brown. The checkered hard rubber grips are in fine shape with only minor handling marks and some mild flattening of the points here and there. The action lock-up is still tight, and is fully functional. The front sight has been neatly altered at some point. This is a nice 1st Generation SAA, with a great "Wild West" look, and is in very good plus condition overall. FFL or C&R
