Exceptional Post-War Colt Service Model Ace Pistol with Box

Serial #SM15127, .22 LR, 5" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a ca. 1979-made, floating chamber-equipped pistol, that retains practically all of the original blue finish, with some mild silvering present on the barrel, and a few hints of silvering on a handful of exposed edges. The original checkered wood Colt medallion grips are in excellent, almost unused condition with virtually no handling marks or flattening of the points on either side. The pistol comes with a single original magazine, and is housed in a correct woodgrain "UAW" box with styrofoam insert and owner’s manual. No end label is present. This is a simply splendid late 20th century Ace, in almost unused condition, and would make a stellar addition to any collection. FFL
