Early 1900's Winchester 44 Colt Black Powder Ammo Full Box
This is a full box, 50 rounds, of .44 Colt black powder Ammunition manufactured by Winchester with 210 grain lead bullets. This cartridge was originally developed for the .44 caliber Model 1860 Colt Army center-fire conversions. The square corner box has a date code of “9-6” and shows a very nice cartridge cut. The top has been professionally repaired on the inside with old tape repairs evident on the outer edges along with some flaking and age soiling. The cartridges are in excellent condition, all bear the correct head stamps and correct bullet loading but exhibit different age characteristics on the lead. Still a great looking Winchester box in a Colt caliber.
