Early Boxed Antique S&W 32 Single Action Model 1½ Centerfire Revolver 32 S&W

Serial #2081, .32 S&W, 3 inch round ribbed barrel with a near excellent, bright bore with strong rifling and a hint of roughness toward the breech.  This is the Smith and Wesson Model Number 1 ½ centerfire also called the .32 Single Action manufactured early in the production years between 1878-1892.  The top break spur trigger remains in excellent condition retaining about 95-97% of the factory original bright  nickel finish with scattered light flaking on the barrel and frame with turn rings on the cylinder.  The checkered hammer and trigger show much of the original case-hardened colors and the diamond checkered hard rubber grips hard rubber grips rate excellent and are the correct no S&W monogrammed ones.   All appropriate parts are numbered to the gun, barrel-to-frame fit is tight, there is no outside strain screw and mechanical operation is excellent. Included is a brown factory box that is not labeled or numbered to the gun but has the "Directions for Use" instructional sticker in the cover. The instructions are generic and applicable to all top-breaks but does not mention the rebounding hammer. There is a "Patent Rebounding Lock" in red ink stamped across the instruction sheet.  An excellent example of an early Model 1 ½.  Antique
