Full Box 22 Short Ammo US Cartridge Co. Copperhead Speedsters 1931 Issues

This is a full box, 50 original rounds, of .22 short ammunition manufactured by the US Cartridge Company as part of the 1931 “Copperhead Speedsters” high velocity issues.  The one piece black and bronze colored box is in excellent condition with excellent graphics showing some very minor flaking and rub wear.  The cartridges are in excellent condition showing the black stain on the brass cases which represents its first use to add strength for the high pressure load.  Identified as US-13 S-1(e) in Roger Huegel's online .22 Rim Fire Box ID Reference based on the original Dunn classification system.
