HSB Co. Rev-O-NOC 25 Stevens Maynard Action Rifle FFL or C&R

Serial #L742, .25 Stevens Rim Fire, 20 inch part octagon, part round barrel with an excellent bore.  This is the HSB Co. (Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. - a Chicago hardware store brand) “REV-O-NOC” model rifle built by J. Stevens on the Maynard break open action.  In excellent condition this little rifle retains about 90-95% of the original blue on the barrel with some thinning at the breech block and some tiny freckling.  The frame and action retain most of the original vibrant case-hardened colors.  The stock and forearm show old contusions several cracks at the toe with a small chip and retains much of a later added varnish.  The original hard rubber Stevens butt plate has a repaired chip at the toe.  An overall great looking little rifle from a well known mid-West hardware store.
