Kynoch Tip-Up Saloon Pistol
Serial #43, .230 RF, 7" octagon barrel with a very good bore that has areas of freckling within the grooves towards the breech. This is a handsome, Tranter-style pistol that retains 70-75% of the original blue on the barrel and frame, with spots of plum-brown freckling and mild flaking along its length. Simple geometric border engraving is present at the muzzle, with additional linear border engraving on the frame. The hammer has the original armory bright finish with some scattered spots of dark freckling. The checkered walnut grip has some minor handling marks and mild wear, mostly near the butt. The lock-up is tight, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a very good plus example of a rare Kynoch saloon pistol. Antique
