LNIB H&R Centennial Officer's Model Springfield Trapdoor 45-70 Rifle 1871-1971 C&R

Serial #1847, .45-70 Government, 26 inch heavy barrel with a bright, excellent bore.  This is the limited edition Harrington & Richardson Centennial Officers Model Springfield Trapdoor rifle manufactured in 1971 celebrating the 100th anniversary of the company founding in 1871.   The commemorative rifle comes with an uninstalled brass plaque and features beautiful case-hardened color on the frame and action which is also engraved showing the US Eagle on the lock plate,  marked “U.S. MODEL 1873 / CAL. 45-70 GOVT.” on the barrel.  It features select hand checkered walnut stock with metal forend cap, cleaning rod mounted under the barrel and is sighted with a blade front sight and tang mounted peep rear sight fully adjustable for windage and elevation.  In excellent like new condition the barrel shows virtually all, 99% plus original blue finish with the balance of the metal components showing vibrant case-hardened colors having some very minor handling marks.  The walnut stock is likewise excellent with some factory blemishes in the checkering.  It comes in the original cardboard box with the manual and brass commemorative plaque.  This example was in the first 1500 production for which a premium price was originally charged and it remains in excellent condition.  FFL or C&R
