Antique G. & J. W. Hawksley Scarce "Pharaoh's Horse" Design Powder Flask

This is a British made "Batty" Copper gun powder flask, measuring 8 3/4" overall with a Sykes Patent, adjustable measuring spout, top with rotating powder door still works but spring is weak. The adjustable charger has 4 different notches for powder charge size, 2 1/2- 3 1/4. The body is embossed with three flowing mane horses, back and front. This appears never to be cleaned with a wonderful patina, virtually no dents, solid side seams and in over-all excellent condition, flask dates to the 1850's. This flask is described in "The Powder Flask Book" by Ray Rilings on page 382 #1051.
