London Marked Turn-Off Pistol by E &W Bond
NSN, .46 Caliber, 2" barrel with a very good, lightly pitted bore. This is an attractive pistol that has a mottled gray and plum-brown barrel that has mild freckling throughout, and a deeply engraved serrated pattern at the muzzle. The brass frame has an attractive, bright yellow-ochre patina with foliate-engraved box frame and maker’s name on the left, "E&W Bond," address on the right, "45 Corn Hill / London." Some of the original bright fire blue still remains on the protected areas of the hammer. The bag-shaped, walnut grip has a blank oval escutcheon, with engraved buttcap, and handling marks with mild flattening to the points. The lock and sliding safety are both fully functional. This is a very attractive little pistol, and is in very good-near fine condition overall. Antique
