JM Marlin Model 39A Lever Action 22 LR Micro Groove Mfg 1957

Serial #P28573, .22 S,L,LR, 24 inch barrel with Micro Groove rifling having an excellent bore. This is the Marlin Model 39A Lever Action rifle manufactured in 1957. The barrel, frame and lever show about 85-90% of the original blue finish with areas of dried varnish or linseed oil, scattered use marks and scratches. The stock and forearm are solid with a sliver of missing wood on the top left wrist, numerous old scratches and contusions, and is covered with a heavy layers of dried linseed oil and there is a missing screw on the forearm cap. and the slingswivel has some glue or epoxy around it.. It is sighted with standard rear sporting and bead front sight and is equipped with sling swivels. The action functions smoothly. A great Marlin 39A that needs a little TLC. FFL or C&R
