1941 US M1 Garand Rifle by Springfield Post-War Rebuild
Serial #257323, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. The receiver of this locking bar rear sight-equipped rifle was made in June of 1941 and is mated to a Korean War-dated, H&R-made barrel. The trigger group is all "SA" marked and has a late, stamped steel trigger guard. The metal retains 95-97% of a mixed, but color consistent, original and arsenal reapplied Du-Lite blue finish, with some silvering at the muzzle, along the high edges and projections, and on the bearing surfaces of the bolt and op-rod raceway. The DoD Eagle-stamped walnut stock with matching handguards is in excellent condition with only some minor handling marks scattered about the military oil finish, and even exhibits some attractive feathering to the grain along the comb of the buttstock. This is a splendid looking government rebuilt Garand, in excellent condition, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
