Near Excellent Colt 22 Open Top Pocket Model Revolver Antique

Serial #11546, .22 S,L, 2 3/8 inch barrel with an excellent bore with strong rifling.  This is the Colt Open Top Pocket Standard Model revolver manufactured in 1874.  In near excellent condition the barrel and cylinder retain about 75-85% of the original blue toning to a pewter gray with slight roughness at the muzzle and near the barrel retaining slot.  The hammer shows much of the original nitre blue and the brass frame has a very pleasing mellow patina.  The walnut grips rate excellent with much of the original varnish showing loss on the edges and high wear areas.  Mechanically it's sound holding at half and full cock with a crisp trigger pull.  A near excellent example of this neat little Colt Open Top revolver.  Antique
