Original Early Colt SAA Second generation Box and Papers (1956)

This is an original, excellent condition black Colt Single Action Army, second generation box with nice unfaded outside finish, strong "Colt" gold label, very good corners, edges, fully intact cover corners with nearly complete top hinge tape. On the bottom is the 4 digit serial # 8481. The inside of the box is a vivid green with excellent gold cover label, original pistol wrapper, hanging yellow Caution tag, Handling the Handgun card and the Single Action Army manual/Warranty card. Both the cards have random spots of gun oil, absorbed on them. Only blemish to the interior of the box is on the sides from the pistol going in and out. This box is labeled "Colt's Single Action Army Revolver" "38 Special" 7 1/2" BBL. Colt SAA 2cd generation serial number 8481SA was produced in the first year of production in 1956. Excellent SAA Colt box to round out a top shelf collection.
