Plainfield Machine Co. M1 Carbine Paratrooper Configuration

Serial #48350, .30 Carbine, 18 inch barrel with an excellent bore.  This is the Plainfield Machine Company M1 Carbine manufactured in Dunellen, NJ circa mid-1970's.  This example has a reproduction WWII Paratrooper folding skeleton stock.  In excellent condition the barrel, frame and action show much, 90-95% of the original blue and parkerized finishes.  The stock remains in excellent condition showing only some light contact marks from the folding butt plate.  It comes with one “RUGG” marked WWII vintage 15 round magazine made by Rugg manufacturing and one unmarked 30 round mag, an army technical manual reprint and a reproduction canvas case.   A very well made post WWII M1 carbine in a desirable configuration.  FFL
