Remington 38 A.M.U 148 grain wad-cutter ammo Match

This is a NOS box of Remington Arms Company 38 A.M.U. This 38 Special case made semi-rimless cartridge was developed at Fort Benning, Georgia, in the late 1950s by Master Seargent Herman Gano in the Army Marksmanship Unit. It was introduced in the early 60’s for the Army National Match, and used in custom accurized Colt 1911 pistols with Drake slides. These are semi-rimless .38 Special cartridge with “REM-UMC 38 AMU” head stamp, loaded with a lead 148 grain wad-cutter bullet in excellent condition. The box is near new with sharp corners and edges with outstanding flaps, very clean and bright.
