Scarce Remington Post WWII “Nickel Shortage” Marked 22 LR Ammo Full Box
This is a full box, 50 original rounds, of .22 Long Rifle ammunition manufactured by Remington as part of the first 1946 High Speed Issues with inside flap marked “Due to Nickel Shortage Case Plating Omitted. Superior Performance Unchanged” and 1522 code. The red, green and white box is in excellent, crisp condition with excellent graphics. The brass cartridges are in excellent condition. Identified as REM-14 LR-1(b) in Roger Huegel's online .22 Rim Fire Box ID Reference based on the original Dunn classification system.
