S&W Model 28 Highway Patrolman Revolver S prefix 1960-61 4" Barrel

Serial #S214831, .357 Magnum, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a pre-1968, pinned and recessed revolver that has retained 97-98% of the original blue finish that has silvered at the sides of the muzzle, along some of the high edges and projections, and a turn-ring on the rear of the cylinder. The hammer and trigger have a commensurate amount of the original color case-hardening remaining, and the diamond-center grips are in fine shape with only a few minor handling marks, and some flattening of the points. While these grips are correct for a revolver made during this production period, they are numbered to a different gun on the interior. The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly. This is a handsome N-frame .357, and is in excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
