Savage Model 99 Rifle 300 Savage 1949

Serial #504313, .300 Savage, 24 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Model 99 rifle manufactured by Savage Arms Corporation in 1949. The lever action rifle features the load indicator and shell counter and is in excellent condition with the barrel retaining virtually all, 97-98% original blue finish with a few light use marks. The receiver has thinned finish on the high edges and carry points with 85-90% original blue finish and light use marks with the lever showing strong case color. The walnut stock and forearm are likewise excellent with crisp checkering, scattered light use marks and one dime size chip missing on the right side of the forearm checkering and the stock shows a large portion of a Plains Indian image. It is sighted with a sporting rear and ivory bead front sight and is equipped with sling swivels and the original serrated metal butt plate which has about 60% of the original blue finish. An excellent Savage 99 in a great caliber. FFL & C&R
