Scrubbed Argentine Model 1891 Mauser Rifle by Loewe

Serial #E3311, 7.65mm Argentine, 29'' barrel with a fair-good bore that has moderate pitting within the grooves.  This is a splendid looking, all matching rifle (including the cleaning rod) with "scrubbed" receiver crest, that retains 95-97% of the original blue finish on the metal, with some mild silvering at the muzzle, along the high and exposed edges, and the original armory bright along the bolt.  The bolt latch retains some of the original brilliant fire blue, and a higher proportion remains on the follower.  All of the remaining markings are crisp and clear.  The stock rates fine, with a few scattered handling marks and blemishes, and the Argentine cartouches are crisp and clear.  An original leather sling in fine, serviceable condition is also included.  This is a very nice example of a desirable, pre-DWM rifle, and rates very good condition overall.  Antique
