Rare Early 1880's American Metallic Cartridge Co. 38 Rim Fire Shot Full Box

This is a full box, 25 original rounds, of .38 Rim Fire black powder shot cartridges manufactured by the American Metallic Cartridge Co. in South Coventry, Conn.  circa early 1880's with paper capped #9 shot.  The two piece box is in near excellent condition with a 95% intact label, crisp graphics showing the very desirable woodcut patriotic Eagle atop the factory surrounded by a floral motif.  The only detractors are a top corner having seam separation and some very mild soiling.  The cartridges are in excellent condition, all having the correct raised “A” head stamp showing minor age darkening of the cases.  A great looking and very desirable box in exceptional condition filled with cartridges that look like they never left the box.
