Silver-Plated Webley .380 Mk. III Revolver by Patstone & Son, Southampton
Serial #7516, .380 Webley, 6" barrel with a very good bore that has moderate freckling within the grooves. This is a handsome revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, and barrel and retains 880-85% of the original silver-plated finish with a mild lavender tarnish starting to form in spots, and small spots of dark pitting where the silver has flaked or worn off, most noticeably on the rear of the frame and along the backstrap. The topstrap is not maker marked, but the barrel rib is retailer marked: "PATSTONE & SON. 25 HIGH ST. SOUTHAMPTON"; and the Webley trademarks are crisp and clear along either side of the frame. A previous owner has added very coarse "checkering" to the trigger, and also added blue paint to both the front and rear sights. The square-butt, checkered hard rubber grips are in very good condition with scattered handling marks, and minor flattening of the points. The barrel lock-up is tight and the mechanism is fully functional. This is a handsome, silver-plated Webley Mk. III .380 revolver, and is in very good condition overall FFL or C&R
