Documented Winchester Trick Shooter Herb Parsons Pin & Win Cleaning Kit
This is a lot of two items that belonged to Herb Parsons who was a famous Winchester gun company trick shooter. Herb passed away in 1959 and had gained fame on the shooting circuit replacing Ad Topperwein as the company shooter in the 1930's. He began with Winchester in 1929 as a traveling salesman with the state of Mississippi as his first territory but was also known for his amazing shooting abilities. The first item is a salesman's sample / travel kit from Winchester containing gun oil, grease, cleaner and rust remover that was the property of Herb Parsons. Included is a copy of a letter dated January 15, 2003 from Herb's son who sold items from his father's estate which details this Hard Case Kit. Also included is Herb's enameled brass name badge marked “H. PARSONS”. It measures 3 ¼ inches wide and is secured with two pins. A great assemblage of important Winchester memorabilia from one of its most famous trick shooting ambassadors.
