Swedish Made J.C. Higgins Model 51-L Bolt Action 308 Win Husqvarna Sears C&R

Serial #4408, .308 Winchester, 22 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore.  This is the J.C. Higgins (Sears Brand) model 51-L bolt action rifle manufactured by Husqvarna in Sweden.  In near excellent condition the barrel retains about 94-96% of the original blue finish.  The checkered walnut stock is likewise excellent with an installed “Poly Choke” company compass and has a sling swivel.  It is equipped with a folding rear sight without any front sight and has Weaver style bases for a scope.  The Husquvarna action works smoothly as does the side mounted slide safety.  This is an excellent example of a very well built hunting rifle imported and sold by Sears.  FFL or C&R
