Swedish Model 1887 Officers Revolver by Husqvarna

Serial #8688, 7.5mm Swedish (7.5mm Nagant), 4 1/2" octagon barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a splendid, all-matching revolver that has retained 95-97% of the original bright blue finish on the barrel, frame, and cylinder, with some mild silvering at the muzzle, as well as on the high edges and projections. The ejector rod, trigger, hammer, loading gate, and gate spring have retained a commensurate amount of original straw color as well. The revolver was stamped with a Landstormen issue or rack number on the right side of the frame: "L No. 8950 / A." The checkered wooden grips are in fine shape with some very mild handling marks scattered about, as well as some mild flattening of the points. The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly in both single and double-action. The Swedish Landstormen was formed in 1885 as a territorial militia composed of men who had already completed their conscripted term of military service, and intended to act as reserves for the regular army in their hometowns and regions in case of invasion. This is a very well-made Swedish military revolver, and is in excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
