U.S. Military Model 1855 Mainspring VICE marked "U.S."
This is an original U.S. Military Model 1855 Mainspring VICE marked "US". Blued steel, 2 7/16” tall (fully closed), x 2 7/16” wide x 5/8” deep. This vise has nearly all of it’s dull blued finish only thin on edges with normal use. These Model 1855 vises fit the mainspring on the Model 1855 through several later musket/rifles. The “US” mark is nicely struck.
