WW2 US Model 1903-A3 Rifle by Remington With Four-Groove Barrel
Serial #3403920, .30-06, 24" barrel with a very good, bright bore that has some dark pitting within the grooves towards the breech. This rifle has a 12-42 dated, "RA"-marked, four-groove barrel and retains 80-85% of the original parkerized finish that has silvered at the muzzle, as well as faded to gray along the high edges and bearing surfaces of the bolt and receiver. A commensurate amount of Du-Lite blue remains on the front sight blade, rear sight, and magazine cut-off switch. The walnut stock and handguard are not inspector or arsenal marked, but do have a "P" proof on the underside of the wrist. The wood has numerous small handling marks and minor surface blemishes scattered about the otherwise good reapplied oil finish, although there are straight line cracks running back from the receiver along the top of the wrist, as well as back from the trigger guard on the bottom. This is a nice '03-A3, in about very good condition overall, and only needs a little bit of TLC to get back into "fighting trim." FFL or C&R
