Winchester Model 1892 Rifle 25-20 W.C.F. Built 1919 C&R

Serial #864839, .25-20 Win, 24 inch round barrel with a near excellent bore.  This is the Winchester Model 1892 rifle manufactured in 1919.  The barrel and magazine tube retain about  70-75% of the original blue toning to plum brown with scratches along the barrel top likely from an abrasive used to remove a shellack layer, traces of which are visible in the protected areas under the barrel.  The forearm cap and receiver tone from gray to plum-brown with original blue remaining in protected areas having a few scratches on the left side.  The stock and forearm are solid with a nice, even finish of a later applied varnish.  Mechanically sound is has a nice smooth action properly holding at half and full cock with a nice trigger.  A great 1892 that will be fun to shoot and look good on the rack.  FFL or C&R
