Circa 1890 Winchester 38 Short Rim Fire Black Powder Ammo Full Box 50 Rds

This is a full box, 50 original rounds, of .38 Short Rim Fire Ammunition manufactured by Winchester circa 1890's.  The two piece box has the “Rifle Cartridge” call out originally designated for the model 1885 Rifle dropped from the catalog in 1887.  The box has excellent graphics with a very nice cartridge cut on the intact primary label with some of the side seal label missing on bottom portion of the long sides.  The box shows old tape repairs.  The cartridges are in excellent condition.   A very good looking box to pair up with you antique firearm.
