Post War Winchester Model 71 Deluxe Rifle 348 Win 1954

Serial #39052, .348 Win., 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore.  This rifle was made in 1954 and has retained 92-95% of the original blue finish, with silvering at the muzzle, along the high and projecting edges, as well as some further gray fading on the checkered steel buttplate.  The rifle currently has a sporting bead front and rear barrel sight installed, but the ghost of an earlier receiver sight is present on the left side of the frame.  The checkered walnut forend and pistol-grip buttstock are both in fine-excellent shape, with very few handling marks in the original finish.  There is some minor flattening of the points, as well as a small chip missing from the right side of the top tang.  Original Winchester detachable sling swivels are included.  This is a fine-near excellent example of a desirable Winchester Model 71 Deluxe, and would make a splendid addition to any collection or whitetail hunting battery.  FFL or C&R
