Winchester Model 62A Gallery Rifle in .22 Short Restored
Serial #334178, .22 Short, 23" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1955-made rifle that has 97-98% of an overall, factory quality reblued finish that has left the edges and markings crisp and sharp. There are some areas of thin freckling present on the receiver and bolt, but these are very minor. The magazine tube has the triangular loading slot, intended for use with Winchester’s .22 Short gallery speedloaders. The grooved wooden forend and straight-wrist buttstock have an old refinish to excellent shape, with the composite buttplate having very little wear evident. The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly. This is a lovely little 62A Gallery, refurbished to fine condition. FFL or C&R
