Fine S&W .38 Safety Hammerless 4th Model Revolver

Serial #171093, .38 S&W, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, and latch; while the metal retains 95-97% of the original bright blue finish that has silvered at the muzzle, and on some spots around the rear of the cylinder. The trigger retains nearly all of the original color case-hardening as well. The hard rubber grips are numbered to the gun on the interior, and are in excellent shape with very few handling marks and almost no flattening of the points. The lock-up is tight, with no lateral play in the barrel, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a little-used "Lemon Squeezer" and would make a great, high condition example for a collection.
