Post WWII Military 1911 Colt 45 Auto barrel
This is a post war field replacement barrel made by Colt for the 1911 with the C inside a square proof mark on the lug and the Colt 45 Auto on the top of the barrel. This barrel has seen some use with a fine shiny bore. Will be a good period replacement barrel for your project.
