A small late Chinese Warring Period (c. 200-100 BC) bronze crossbow lock. Of typical form, this lock is similar to those illustrated in Yang Hong, "Weapons in Ancient China" (1992: New York, Science Press),P. 199 (Fig's 280 and 281).
